Harley is a gift from God.

This is why Harley is like my all time favorite!

Why did they leave out the best part of this scene?;

The character development of Harley is probably one of the better things DC has done with their characters.

snorlaxatives:

In Bay Village, Ohio, a group of high school students tricked their 14-year-old autistic classmate into doing the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. Instead of filling the bucket with ice water they filled it with feces, urine, spit and cigarette butts and dumped the bucket from a roof onto the special needs teen.

This is a horrific act of degradation and violence.  It is so harmful and hurtful to that young man and his family and also to the people who know about this.  Not only did this group of people damage such a wonderful fundraiser, but they exploited it and this young man past the point of redemption.

This was so premeditated, that it is sickening.

Thankfully, through the internet and social media, we can make others aware of this heinous crime, and hopefully put a stop to any (if not all) of these atrocities that are happening in our back yards to our family, friends and neighbors. But more importantly put a stop to and defend those who cannot defend themselves.

These criminals have hit the heart of all that we hold dear.  Disabled children are often picked on and bullied.  But these people obviously set this young man up for something that not only could make him extremely ill, but has also humiliated humanity and those who just want to help.

I work with special needs individuals. It’s a 24 hour care company. I work a thirty-two hour shift from Sunday morning to Monday evening each week. I also work a second twenty-four hour shift from Thursday evening to Friday evening. That does not include any overtime, and I usually try to pull at least three other days of overtime. Why? My mother worked at the same company since I was four years old. I’m eighteen now. I’ve been there my whole life. The people we care for live in homes in the community just like you and I. I can remember going to see my mom at work because she would pull over 100 hours per week. And I fell in love with the individuals in the company. I loved them. And I’ve never stopped. There are bad times, there are downers, there are stressful days, but I love my job. It is so rewarding and I love these people. They are my family. One woman was the dearest person to my heart. And when she passed away last year I was in the hospital the day before, telling her that she had to wake up so we could fix her hair and paint her fingernails. My heart broke when she did not wake up. Since I was four I’ve been at the homes or the day-center they attend every week when I could, sometimes every afternoon. They are sweet and loving and the happiest people. And they just want love and affection and security. Remembering their birthday and telling them so makes them happier than any presents. Promising them you’ll accompany them to a movie (and no, it’s not on the clock, it’s going out with them on your own time to enjoy your time with them) makes them so ecstatic. And I can just think..this could have been one of the people I work with each day. This could have been one of the people who I’ve grown up adoring, and then had the honor of working with them after I turned eighteen. And that breaks my heart. The high schoolers who did this deserve to be thrown in jail to rot. They are not human beings. They are monsters. I don’t care what sport career will be ruined by their prosecution. I don’t care what happens to them in prison. They deserve what they get. I’m disgusted and I just can’t believe someone, anyone with a heart, would do something like this. They aren’t a job or an obligation, they’re my heart and my life. I know I’m going to be doing the same work in twenty, thirty, hell even fifty years from now. And I wouldn’t change that. And I hope this boy recovers. I hope he is surrounded by support and people who love him, enough to ease the pain he has to be feeling, because it definitely won’t be erased. He is scarred and he will remember, but perhaps he can heal from it. So please sign.

society:oh you have your period? well you have two options.
woman:okay.
society:you can use sanitary pads, which make you feel like you are wearing a diaper, and have the added fun benefit of being extremely uncomfortable and give you the extreme paranoia that they will not be enough coverage and at any moment with any movement or sudden sneeze you'll bleed over onto your clothes and walk around all day with blood stained trousers while everyone points and laughs at you.
woman:sounds awful. what's my second option.
society:a penis shaped wad of cotton that you shove uncomfortably inside yourself and it catches the blood before it leaves your body.
woman:still seems pretty awful.
society:wait! it gets better! there's the outside chance that using those will kill you!
woman:well, are they at least free? like how men can have access to free condoms? i mean, it's not like i'm choosing for this to happen.
society:HAHAHA! that's funny. no, you have to pay for them. and they're really fucking expensive.
woman:
society:oh, and if you tell anyone that you ARE on your period, your judgement, opinions, and reactions are going to be dismissed as the crazy ramblings of a lunatic.
woman:
society:
woman:i think i'll go with my third option.
society:
woman:
society:what third option?
woman:i think i'll bleed on everything you love.

I’m a firm believer in cutting out negativity and I began the biggest part of that earlier this week and as of today I’ve almost completely removed all toxic people from my life (family is a bit harder to remove, but I’m planning on putting a lot of distance between us because ‘absence makes the heart grow fonder’ and whatnot.) so before (hopefully) the end of next year I hope to be in a completely new place and start fresh with my favorite person without any lingering connections to the toxic aspects of my life here.

Cut out toxic people-finally *angels sing praise in the background*

Take care of yourself-(admittedly I’m not in prime physical condition at the moment, bad nutrition and stress and whatnot so this is a work in progress)

Fresh starts require fresh everything-By that I mean I want new clothes and an excuse to buy them so I’m going shopping with my Tabby tomorrow.

From here on out I’m gonna be radiating positivity.

Transphobic U.S. Congressman edits Wikipedia to include hate speech for Laverne Cox       →

animedavidbowie:

wdya:

Someone with an IP address sourcing to the House of Representatives just edited the Orange Is the New Black Wikipedia page with the telling summary of “not a woman.”

That’s right, this Congressman edited out a sentence hailing the show for including “the first ever women-in-prison narrative to be played by a real transgender woman.”  What did he replace it with?  Hate speech.

The Congressman called Cox a “man pretending to be a woman,” and linked to an offensive article by National Review Online aptly titled “Laverne Cox Is Not a Woman.”

The change has since been reversed and the IP address has been banned from editing Wikipedia for a month, but you can see the original edit he made in the link above.

The change was spotted by a Twitter bot which tweets out links any time a Congressional IP address edits Wikipedia.

Spread this like wildfire.

(articles on The A.V. Club, Yahoo, and NY Daily News)

Good to see our elected officials are hard at work!!! :)))))
